HARVESTING VEGETABLES FOR OUR 2017 SEASON BEGAN ON JULY 6th!
One in Five Rhode Islanders experience food insecurities every day! That is why we feel so strongly about helping our fellow citizens to obtain farm fresh produce!
The Franklin Farm Community Garden is run entirely by volunteers, like you! All ages are encouraged to come to the garden on our Tending Nights to help perform a number of tasks. From taking care of the plants to loading the vegetables for delivery, our easy volunteer days and times allow for you to enjoy the summer months and help others!
ONE NIGHT COUNTS
TENDING NIGHTS EVERY MONDAY AND THURSDAY 5:30 pm to Dusk!
We will be at the garden every Monday and Thursday evening until the end of September.
No sign up or experience is necessary. Please use the Barn driveway and check in at the garage with our Team Leader!
If you are a Group or Corporation looking to bring 15 or more volunteers out to the garden, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and our Volunteer Coordinator will get back to you soon with details about how you can help at the garden. Create a memorable experience for your team that makes a difference!
We are looking for a few new TEAM LEADERS.
You do not have to have experience with the garden to volunteer as a TEAM LEADER. Our Garden Coordinator and support team will let you know how to direct volunteers during the Tending Nights. This is a great position for anyone who likes to meet new people. It is also a wonderful position for any high school/college student looking for leadership opportunities. We are looking to fill 15 Team Leader spots. The time commitment is 1 Tending Night (3 hours) – or as many Tending Nights as you would like to volunteers! Please contact Denise Mudge email@example.com, if you are interested.
